Luke 18: 1-8

this passage actually encourages me a lot. it's about the parable of the persistent widow. 

Jesus is showing His disciples that they should always pray and not give up, just like the widow.

This widow kept going to the judge with a plea, to grant her justice against her adversary.

as much as this unjust judge did not fear God, neither cared about men, he decided to see that she gets justice, to prevent her from bothering him day and night.

and this verse spoke to me (verse6)

[And the Lord said, " Listen to what the unjust judge says, And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?"]

what it actually spoke to me is that,

i've gotta keep praying. God is there, listening. even though the current situation might not seemed as "bright" as it should be, but i shouldn't give up. with prayers, present it to God. God definitely won't be like the judge putting me(us) off, or ignore us. He'll receive our prayers, He'll listen. He'll guide, He'll speak. 

just press on with prayers. 

He's there.

i mean, i'm not only concern about your spiritual life,

but definitely i'm concern about your own personal life, your school, your worries, problems, happiness, everything!

i'm not asking you guys to share your lives as a small group, but because i do really am concern about you guys, as a friend (put aside the small group label).

like i said, in this group, i'm not the "leader",

we're accountable for one another. we're on the same level.

i'm truly, sincerely concern about you guys, and love you guys.

it's just like how close good friends will share things under the sun,

not out of obligations or anything.

we're part of LLL, we're sisters, we're close close friends.

it is true that nothing will be able to seperate me from the love of God because i love him and he loves me too just like how my dad loves me. Even if he's teaching me a lesson i'll still know that he's still loving me as it is for my own good.

Acts 4:18-37 (check it out!)

this passage actually reminds me of where God is in my life. have i let someone/something or whatever taken over the priority of God? in the passage, the believers shared their possessions. no one claims that anything was their own. (verse32-35) as i was pondering over this passage, God spoke to me:

for everything that i have, i owned,

it is not mine,

it's God.

for everything that i am,

it because of God.

everything of me,

belongs to God.

hence, God should be reigning in my life. no other people or possessions or anything. God and God alone. if it wasn't for Him, what am i? if it wasn't for Him, what do i have?

my prayer for myself and the group is that, we will set our priority right, that is  - God. i pray that He will be the center of our lives, and we won't allow anything to take over His place. Our God is a good God, lovely God, isn't it?(:

"hope that is seen is no hope at all..." romans 8:24
at first it came across to me as a very intellectual sentence but after reading it again and again a few times and thinking about it it's very true.
For example when we find that there is hope in some kind of relationship, sometimes it actually turns out to be our own wishful thinking.

i will patiently wait for that day to come when i consider the present sufferings not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed to us.

i like this verse a lot.sounds cute and very meaningful.
"I do not understand what i do i do not do, but what i hate i do. And if i do what i do not want to do, i agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer i myself who did it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is , in my sinful nature. For i have the desire to do what is good but i cannot carry it out. For what i do is not the good i want to do; no, the evil i do not want to do--this i keep on doing. Now if i do what i do not want to do, it is no longer i who did it, but it is sin living in me that does it." romans 8 :15-20

i read Esther 2 today.

what spoke to me is verse12.

v.12

before a girl's turn came to go in to King Xerxes,

she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women,

six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics.

how is it related to us, or rather what has God spoke to me regarding this?

all of us are going through different situations and circumstances. why is this so? it is because God is preparing us before we go back Home. He's teaching us to be more Christ-like, teaching us what is being holy, pure. Just like Queen Esther had to went through the twelve months of beauty treatments, we're going through different situations as well before the Day comes. we're going through "beauty treatment" too! beautify to become more like Jesus, to be pure and holy for Christ. for what? so that God can use us. so that we can serve Him. (: 

i remember once sis. eveline told me. if you want God's anointing upon you, you've gotta be pure - a vessel to be used by God. yes, i know every man sins, and then now it links back to your own heart condition, your thinking, your actions, your lifestyle. think about it. (: 

back to the point. therefore, if you're in any situations/circumstances, don't fear, no worries. God is with you through it all. all kinds of situations and circumstances are potential opportunities for you to grow, learn from it and glorify God. remember, we're going through "beauty treatment" in our days. Our God is beautiful, isn't He? there you got it. (: 

i pray that you'll experience God in different ways this week!
